Position Description:
The Bohemia Interactive Simulations Prague office is looking for two professional and enthusiastic Technical Support Specialists to join our Customer Support group. One position will specialize in supporting our EMEA customers, and the other position will be responsible for supporting our French military customers as their specific Account Rep. Applicants for both positions should have excellent English language skills, and the French Account Rep will also need excellent French language skills.

You will need good communications skills as interacting with military and civilian customers will be a large part of day to day life. You will need to have a competent knowledge of computing in general as well as the ability to identify and diagnose both software and hardware faults. You will co-operate with the VBS core team to understand the development roadmap and be able to inform customers about implementation of key technologies. Experience with VBS or Arma is a big plus.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Provide technical issue resolution to customers via on-site, email, phone and other electronic medium.[/*:2vs2m04j]
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot simulation software[/*:2vs2m04j]
  • Test new software prior to release to customers[/*:2vs2m04j]
  • Identify and correct or advise, on issues with software and hardware configurations.[/*:2vs2m04j]
  • Administer and moderate company support forums.[/*:2vs2m04j]
  • Manage customer licensing[/*:2vs2m04j]
  • Prepare and coordinate special contractual builds[/*:2vs2m04j]
  • Ensure orders are prepared, packed and dispatched as per company procedures.[/*:2vs2m04j]
  • Assist in the preparation and setup for demos and special events[/*:2vs2m04j]
  • Write knowledgebase articles and other documentation[/*:2vs2m04j]
  • Take on special technical projects as required[/*:2vs2m04j]

Skills:

  • Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.[/*:2vs2m04j]

Education & Experience:
Required:
Intermediate knowledge of the VBS or ArmA products, including scripting, terrain creation or model creation.

Recommended:
  • A Degree in Computing or a technology related subject[/*:2vs2m04j]
  • Experience in Defense Simulation, preferably VBS or Arma[/*:2vs2m04j]
  • Aptitude for basic C++/C# programming and scripting languages.[/*:2vs2m04j]
  • Understanding of basic networking topologies and PC hardware[/*:2vs2m04j]
  • Appreciation of game modification methods[/*:2vs2m04j]
